Famous comedian and Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel joked about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This happened during the presentation of a statuette to the film “Icarus,” which tells about state support for doping by Russian athletes, writes UNIAN.

“At least, we can say with confidence that Putin did not interfere in these elections (the selection of paintings for awards),” the comedian joked.

Let us recall that the film “Icarus” is a film about a doping scandal, based on the revelations of Grigory Rodchenkov, was recognized by the film academy as the best documentary tape of the last year.

Vogel dedicated the victory to the former head of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov, who participated in the preparation and filming of the film. The director called Rodchenkov “a fearless informant who now lives in great danger.” “This is a picture about Russia, but more importantly about the importance of telling the truth,” Brian Vogel said upon receiving the statuette.
