Two cruise liners Carnival collided in Mexico: there are victims
Two Carnival Cruise Line ships collided in Cozumel (Mexico), one passenger was injured. Writes about it Tampa Bay Times.
Carnival Glory cruise ship, which sailed from Tampa (Florida), rammed the Carnival Legend. Because of this, Carnival Glory almost collided with the ship Oasis of the Seas, one of the largest cruise liners in the world operated by Royal Caribbean International.
At that time, the Carnival Glory maneuvered to dock at the port, and the Carnival Legend and Oasis of the Seas were already docked.
According to Roger Frizzell, director of public relations at Carnival Corporation, the collision was caused by the wind.
Frizzell called the damage “very superficial,” but the videos and photos posted on Twitter show that the damage was much greater.
Carnival Cruise Line said the company is evaluating the damage done to both ships, but they will both continue their regular sailing schedule during the current cruise and future cruises.
“There is one report of a minor injury to a Carnival Glory guest when a group of guests was evacuated from the dining room on decks 3 and 4,” the company said.
