EatingNYC founder Alexa Matthews, while speaking at FOX Business in the Morning with Mary program, calculated the costs associated with Postmates, DoorDash and Uber Eats.

According to Matthews, when ordering food at Uber Eats, consumers can pay up to 20% more.

“First you will see the cost of delivery, but then they try to add to the cost of the remaining margins, which usually make up about 15% of the cost of food,” she explained.

Priced in four US cities, Postmates has become the most expensive online food ordering service. He has more partners than others.

“Postmates non-affiliates typically ask for $ 8 or $ 9 for shipping,” said Matthews.

She noted that when you order one average Bigmac menu from Postmates once a week for a year, you will spend up to $ 1000. This equates to a first-class flight with domestic airlines or a nine-day trip to Disneyland.

Matthews said that DoorDash cannot clearly explain why they charge extra fees, so “you don’t really know where your money is going.”
