'Expensive and outdated devices': Pavel Durov harshly criticized Apple
The founder of Telegram and VKontakte Pavel Durov criticized Apple. In his opinion, the company's devices are lagging behind technically, are inconvenient to use, and also make their owners slaves to the giant of the digital world. UNIAN.

The reason for the post, which Durov published on his Telegram channel, was the publication of The New York Times about Apple's business in China.
In their article, journalists argue that Apple made numerous compromises on censorship and personal data protection in order to access the largest market in the world.

“Apple has been very effective at pursuing its business model, which is based on selling unreasonably expensive, outdated devices to consumers locked into its ecosystem. Every time I pick up an iPhone to test our iOS app, I feel like I’m in the Middle Ages: Apple’s 60Hz displays can’t compare to Android’s 120Hz displays with their much smoother animations,” writes Durov .
“But the worst thing about Apple technology isn’t the clunky devices and outdated software. The owner of an iPhone becomes a digital slave of Apple - he is allowed to use only applications from the App Store and make native backups only in iCloud,” the businessman believes.

In his opinion, this allows the Chinese Communist Party to completely control the data of its citizens using the iPhone (for which it loves Apple).
