Donald Trump is confident that he could negotiate with Putin to return Snowden
Billionaire Donald Trump, who announced his intention to participate in the fight for the presidency of the United States from the Republican Party, said in an interview with CNN that he could agree with the Russian authorities on the extradition of the former US intelligence officer Edward Snowden.
“I think he is an absolute traitor, and I would have dealt with him extremely harshly,” Trump said, adding that if he were the president of the United States, he “could negotiate” with the Russian authorities on the extradition of Snowden.
“I would find a common language with Putin, I did business with Russia,” he stressed.
Trump also argued that if he were the head of the White House, then Russia would “never keep anyone like Snowden”, but would immediately hand him over to American justice.
