In an article published by The Washington Post, Davis writes about a meeting with a music performer that happened almost 40 years ago. She said that she remembers that she was offered cocaine from which she "is confident on 90%" refused. Davis says he remembers coming home and feeling lonely, she was ashamed and disgusted. “Why didn't I get out of there? Why not pushed him? Why I froze, she asked herself.

Davis said that 20 hadn't told anyone about the attack for years, and was not surprised that Ford hadn't talked about what had happened to her during 30 years. She writes that victims of sexual abuse often forget the specific details of the attack, and therefore unfairly criticize Ford for not recalling facts such as the address of the house in which everything happened.

“What is happening: your memory photographs details that will always haunt you, it will change your life and will live under your skin. Memory erases those parts of the story that are of little significance, ”writes Davis.

Recall 51-year-old professor of psychology at the University of California, Palo Alto, Christine Blaise Ford blamed Kavano for trying to rape her at a party at the beginning of 1980.

In July of this year, Ford sent a confidential letter describing the incident to Diana Feinstein, a Democratic senator from the state of California. The man shared information with the FBI, after which the letter got into the White House, though without the name of the author. Kavano made a statement in which he stated that he "categorically and unequivocally" denies this accusation.
