Halloween kids got candy with needles
Police in Marshfield, Massachusetts, advises locals to throw Twizzlers sweets away after finding sewing needles in two packages.
The Marshfield Police Department posted an “important warning” on their social media accounts on Thursday. It was about two packs of Twizzlers Twists, which were received in the Brant Rock area.
“We are investigating two bags of Twizzlers Twists that were found to contain sewing needles,” the department said in a statement. “We recommend throwing away the Twizzlers and inspecting all the other candies.”
In another case in the state of Tennessee, the Wilson County Sheriff's Department said: “Last night, a mother noticed that the packaging of candy was broken. Opening it, she saw the inserted needle inside the sweetness. ”
"Please check your candy to ensure it is properly sealed and the packaging has not been damaged," the sheriff's office wrote.
Experts urge parents not to give children any goodies that are not wrapped in the workplace. They also recommends that you look for any signs of packaging problems, including unusual appearance or discoloration, tiny holes or droplets in the wrappers.
