Dozens of victims: past weekend was the bloodiest in Chicago this year
Last weekend (June 25-27) was the bloodiest weekend in 2021 in Chicago, Illinois. At least 63 people were injured and three killed in a string of gunfights throughout the city. Writes about it Insider.

At least eight people, including one pregnant woman, were injured at 63rd Street and Artesian in Chicago.
According to a tweet from Chicago Sun-Times photojournalist Tyler La Riviera, police and the Chicago rescue service were at the scene of the shooting. Two people were also injured in a car accident in the same area.

On Friday, June 25, in the evening, two people were killed in a series of shootings.
One of the dead was a 25-year-old man who received a gunshot wound to the chest. He was found at 04:35 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, in the Humboldt Park area at 2600 West Thomas Street. A 35-year-old man was also killed, shot in the chest and leg. On Sunday evening, June 27, a mass shooting on 71st Street near Clyde Avenue left a woman dead and four men wounded.

The violence this weekend broke the 2021 record for the most shootings in Chicago, set in May, when at least 21 people were wounded from May 23 to May 55, 11 of them died.
A staggering 106 people were injured in Chicago over Father's Day weekend last year, including 13 killed, according to the Chicago Tribune.
