When it became clear that no one wants to give in, the airline began to raise compensation. The price gradually increased and eventually reached $ 4000. Then Tracy Smith decided to give her seat to a fan from Georgia, who confirmed the booking of the flight, but was not assigned a seat.

Jarvis has admitted to her Twitter, that she was waiting for the price to rise to $4000, stating that “4000 is my magic number.”

Fortunately, Jarvis received the money and flew to Indiana just eight hours later than she had planned.

Recall that in April there was a resonant incident with a passenger United Airlines, who was forced out of the crowded side of the plane, breaking his nose and causing other injuries. Incident led to violent reaction in social networks and criticized the actions of the airline. Company lost $ 750 million through stock devaluation due to the incident.
