Delta kicked passengers out of a dispute about switching the phone to flight mode

Employee Delta Air Lines forced the passenger to leave the plane at Fort Wayne International Airport after a dispute with the pilot because of whether his phone was transferred to flight mode, writes USA Today.

Robin Rogers from New York complained to Instagramthat she was “unjustly kicked out” from the 4527 Delta flight after an employee of the aircraft asked her to switch the phone to flight mode. Then she stood over Rogers, waiting for her to choose the desired setting.

“I said, ‘I know how to turn on airplane mode, you don’t have to stand over me. She replied: “If you don’t do this, then we will return to the gate and you can leave.” I raised the phone to show that airplane mode was on,” Rogers said.

Rogers said the flight attendant returned to her seat, notifying Rogers that the plane was returning to the gate, where she would be asked to leave. Other passengers who defended Rogers were also forced to leave the aircraft. In total, four adults and a child were forced to leave the flight.

The video published by Rogers shows how the stewardess repeatedly asks to switch the phone to airplane mode. Another video shows how a flight attendant asks a woman to leave the plane due to the fact that the flight attendant considers the situation “unsafe”. There is no video of the moment when the conflict began.

Employees of the company said they were studying the details of the incident.
