Cruise Line Offers Americans to Go to Sea for 4 Years to Escape Trump's Regime
Not happy with the 2024 US election results? No problem — you can just hop on a cruise ship and come back for the next vote. All you need is a passport and a few thousand dollars. Many think it's worth it, the publication writes. Unilad.
The four-year journey was planned by the cruise line Villa Vie Residences. Instead of cramming in a few islands in a week, the cruise ship will take you away from reality for months or even years.
On November 7, the company announced a new cruise that appears to be a direct response to the US election, in which Donald Trump won the 270 electoral votes needed to become the 47th president of the United States.

The Skip Forward cruise tour lasts for four years and promises to visit 140 countries on all seven continents.
Another cruise, the Mid-Term Selection, lasts two years—just before the US midterm elections, which are held at the halfway point of a four-year presidential term.
The ship has everything you could possibly need on board: high-speed Internet, housekeeping, all-inclusive meals, spa services, and fitness programs. You can even invite friends and family to visit, which will cost you $129/day.
When the ship makes stops, passengers have the opportunity to explore places such as Buenos Aires, Japan and Sydney, Bali, the Philippines, Singapore and Mumbai, to name a few.
So, of course, the big question is, how much money do you need to spend to escape US politics for four years? Well, a single room costs $255, a double costs $999.

If you want to escape now but return for the midterms, it will cost you $150 for a single room and $399 for a double.
There are also one-year trips (from $79) and three-year trips (from $999).
A Villa Vie Residences spokesman said that traveling on board the ship allows passengers to escape politics, traffic jams and the monotony of city life. After Trump declared victory, that sounds like a good thing.
