This is evidenced by the results of a survey of Americans 1000 in age from 21 to 75 years, writes Bloomberg.

At the same time, ideas about financial comfort and wealth differ depending on the age of the respondents: the older the person, the more money they need for financial comfort.

At the same time, many respondents define wealth not by money. 28% believe that wealth is the opportunity to live stress-free; 18% noted that it gives them the opportunity to do what they want; 17% of respondents defined wealth as loving and warm relationships with family and friends.

On the question of how to make a rich daily life, many survey participants gave answers that are not related to material values.

62% noted that spending time with family makes their daily life richer; 55% believe that what makes them rich is the ability to take time for themselves; At the same time, 49% believe that owning a home would make their daily life richer, and for 41%, a sign of wealth is the ability to eat in restaurants or order food.

The Millennials have shown some youthful optimism about their financial future. About 64% of people between the ages of 20 and 35 years believe that at some point in their lives they will be rich (financially), compared to 22% of older people.

At the same time, 49% of respondents said that saving and investing are the “key to wealth”, 40% chose hard work, and 11% believe that luck helps them to become rich.
