What you need to know if you are importing drugs to the USA
When importing drugs into America, there are special restrictions indicated on Online US Customs Service.

In particular, prescription drugs must be in the original packaging, to which the prescription prescribed by the doctor must be attached. It is recommended to travel with so many medicines, which are designed only for personal use. By default, this is the number of medications needed on 90 days of use.
If you are not transporting medicines or medical devices in their original packaging, you should also have a copy of the prescription or a letter from your doctor. A valid prescription is required for all products imported into the United States.

If you are traveling with medical devices such as an oxygen cylinder or needles that may be dangerous to other people, then you also need to have a doctor's prescription for them.
