The White House held a press conference for children: they asked about Trump's favorite food and superpower
In the White House briefing room, children bombarded the head of state's press secretary with questions about his favorite ice cream and the 47th president's superpowers, reports Fox News. It turns out that Donald Trump has a sweet tooth, and his favorite treats are pink Starbursts and Tootsie Rolls, a reporter has found out. Associated Press.

On May 20, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt fielded questions from the children of reporters and administration staff as part of Bring Your Son or Daughter to Work Day. The young guests asked about Donald Trump's preferences, from his favorite ice cream to whether he likes to hug.
"Oh, is he a hugger? I think so. I've seen him hug his kids, his family, our first lady. So, yes, he is a hugger," Leavitt responded, drawing smiles from the room.

When asked about the most fun part of her job, Leavitt said, "The most fun part is meetings like today, where I get to answer your wonderful questions." She added that reading the news and parent-child reports is a big part of her day.
The young guests asked about Trump's favorite food. "He loves steak, sundaes with chocolate syrup and toppings, and McDonald's hamburgers and fries," Leavitt said. When asked about candy, she noted that Trump eats "a fair amount" of pink Starbursts and Tootsie Rolls.
Before answering the question of what superpower a president would like to have, Leavitt pondered: "Probably being able to snap his fingers and have all the country's problems instantly solved. Today, for example, the president went to the Capitol to convince members of Congress to support his bill. It would be easier if he had a superpower, but that's not how it works in real life."
Some of the questions were about politics — the Mexican border, climate change. Others stumped Leavitt, like his favorite football player or Trump’s favorite child. “I know he loves all five of his kids very much,” she replied diplomatically.
Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump decorated wooden American flags with her children at the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden. She glued two glittery stars to her red, white and blue flag and praised the children's creations, calling them "beautiful."
On the morning of May 20, the president visited Capitol Hill to urge House Republicans to support the tax cuts and spending bill he wants Congress to pass. The president was originally scheduled to hold a public event with children on the South Lawn upon his return, but the White House later nixed the press.

The first lady spent some time with the children outside the White House, many of whom wore navy blue caps with the words "Gulf of America" emblazoned on them in bright red.
Later, a video appeared on social media showing the president dancing in front of children at the southern entrance to the residence.
