If you used Cash App, you can get up to $2500 in compensation
Cash App users will soon be able to receive money into their bank accounts. The mobile payment service is required to pay $15 million in damages. According to the class action complaint, plaintiffs sued Cash App Investing and Block Inc. due to companies' "failure to exercise reasonable care in maintaining the security and protection of sensitive consumer information." Cash App users have until November 18, 2024 to file a claim for damages, reports USA Today.
The lawsuit says the December 2021 data breach resulted in "the unauthorized public disclosure of personal information of 8,2 million current and former Cash App Investing customers."
