In honor of the airline's 100 anniversary in 2019, British Airways launched the BA Magic 100 project. Over the next year, the airline intends to perform acts of kindness 100, starting with a holiday trip for four children.

Earlier this month, British Airways sent four children and their parents to New York for three days on the Kevin McAllister route from the movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."

The group consisted of children who were indicated by friends or family. In 2018, they faced serious problems, including the loss of housing, the death of relatives or serious health problems. The company also invited their parents to the trip.

It all started with a meeting with singer Pixie Lott, who announced that the band would go to New York for a Christmas escape. They boarded their VIP flight at Kevin's Class, for which they identified the entire upper deck of the Boeing-747, decorated for Christmas.

After landing in New York, the group stopped at the well-known Plaza Hotel and, as in the movie “Home Alone-2”, met Donald Trump there, though not the real one, since he is now president and his counterpart.

In the room they ate ice cream, like Kevin McAlister, jumped on the bed. Then they skated in Central Park, went to the toy stores at FAO Schwartz and watched the Rockettes Show at the Radio City Music Hall.

In the end, the group descended on Times Square, where participants saw their names on a billboard and a holiday greeting from star Dr. Who star jodie whittaker.

“New York is a magical place for Christmas, whether you're still a child or an adult, so it was the perfect location for a BA Magic surprise,” said Alex Cruz, CEO and Chairman of British Airways in a statement. “Our data shows that children have had to cope with very difficult circumstances, and their stories are moving and inspiring in equal measure. We wanted to give them and their parents the opportunity to have a magical Christmas they will never forget.”
