British police said that the probable perpetrator of the attempt on the Russian intelligence officer, Sergey Skripal, and his daughter Yulia was an agent of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) under the code name “Gordon”.

He allegedly led a group of six people who organized and carried out the assassination, the publication said Mirror with reference to its sources in the counterterrorism police.

During the work, the 54-year-old agent allegedly uses the name of Mihails Savikis and two more aliases, which the publication did not recognize.

The investigation suggests that the agent has already left the UK and left for Russia.

About the agent “Gordone” became known after the 5-hour interrogation of the former KGB agent Boris Karpichkov. Gordon was his subordinate in Latvia when they worked in the State Security Committee.

“He was a very smart, educated, ambitious and ruthless man. He was attractive and personable and could quickly gain the trust of a stranger,” said Karpichkov.

According to him, the intelligence officer studied martial arts and specialized in jujutsu. He also received a law degree from the Latvian State University in Riga.

Karpichkov handed over a photo of “Gordon” to the investigation, but journalists retouched his face during publication; it shows the agent in the 1980s. The man’s height is 175 cm, he has no special features.

The agent often used the image of a successful businessman to cover up, at the time of the disbanding of the KGB, he was in the rank of captain, and later went to work at the FSB.

“Gordon” is included in the list of active reserve of FSB officers; it is a kind of espionage army, whose members are used in special operations, including murders.

It is precisely known that he killed at least one person, in 1990-ies “Gordon” shot a member of a criminal gang in Latvia.

Karpichkov, like Skripal, is on the list of former Russian agents to be destroyed by the FSB. Karpichkov believes that his former subordinate can lead the group on the implementation of this list.

Karpichkov, who was trained as a murderous agent in the KGB, admitted that he had been instructed to poison Gordon in 1990 for having betrayed one of the networks of FSB agents in Latvia.

But Karpichkov refused to do it. In 1998, he escaped from Russia with two suitcases full of secret documents, and moved with his family to the UK. Russian agents tried to poison Karpichkov twice when he lived in New Zealand from June 2006 of the year to October of 2007. In 2010, he received British citizenship, but he fears for his life when he finds out that his name is on the list for destruction.

5 April London Police published the first statement by Julia Skripal. In it, she thanked the people who found her with her father in Salisbury and came to their aid, as well as the staff of the hospital where she is located. The woman did not provide any details about her condition or her father’s condition.

“I came to my senses more than a week ago and am glad to report that every day I gain strength. I am grateful for the interest in my fate and for the many words of support I received, ”the statement reads.

7 April it became known that Sergey Skripal also came out of a critical state and spoke.

9 April Julia was discharged from the hospital, and British police said that Skripale poisoning occurred in the house of ex-scouttherefore, the building is likely to be demolished.
