The Briton, flying home from Germany, confused the flight and was in Las Vegas

29-year-old banker from the UK Samuel Yankovsky, returning home from Cologne (Germany), confused the flight and instead of London turned out to be in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to him, the staff of the airline Eurowings (budget line Lufthansa) checked his boarding pass at the airport three times and also did not notice that he was boarding the wrong plane, writes Rtvi.

After boarding the plane, Yankovsky was surprised that a wide-body long-haul airliner was put on such a short flight, but did not attach any importance to this. In the cabin, he immediately inserted the headphones and fell asleep.

The fact that his plane flew over the UK and was sent across the Atlantic to the United States, Yankovsky found out only an hour later when he looked at the monitor on the plane. As the man said, he had to pay € 12 for onboard Wi-Fi to report the error to his wife, who was waiting for him at home.

Immigration officers at the airport in Las Vegas, according to the banker, treated him very strictly. He did not believe that he got on the wrong plane. Yankovsky was detained and searched before being released on the return flight.

Since his airline had no flights to the UK, the banker had to first return to Germany. He traveled to home through Stuttgart. Total Yankovsky flew 27 000 km.

He and his wife complained to the airline because of this error. According to Yankovsky, the crew Eurowings did nothing to make amends to the passenger. Moreover, the airline for the year banned the banker to fly its flights.
