Blatter denied reports of readiness to resign

Acting President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Joseph Blatter said he did not file retired with positions of the head of the organization.

“I did not resign, but entrusted my future to the FIFA extraordinary congress. I have not yet matured either for the museum or for the wax figure, ”Blatter stressed. The British newspaper The Independent suggested that he again stand for election as president of the organization.

An extraordinary meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee, at which the voting date will be determined, will be held on July 20 in Zurich. Until the election, Blatter will continue to fulfill the duties of the president.

2 June, four days after re-election for a fifth term, an official at an emergency press conference in Zurich announced his departure from the post of head of the International Football Federation. In this regard, he was appointed acting.

At the end of May, on the eve of the FIFA presidential elections, Swiss police arrested nine officials of the organization on suspicion of bribery.
