Black Eyed Peas filmed a video in Kazakhstan: the stars were invited to the yurt and treated to national dishes
On July 28 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) the Black Eyed Peas filmed a video for the song Gaurantee from their new album Elevation. Writes about it Esquire.

The producer of the filming was the famous director Malik Zenger, along with Maria Moon and Tigran Mutafyan.
It should be noted that the artists were by no means interested in Kazakhstani nature - the shooting took place in the pavilion, and the “picture” would later be completed in computer graphics.
“It was important for us to prove that we in Kazakhstan have the necessary conditions and a team for any type of world-class production, whether it be a music video or a movie,” said Malik Zenger.

As Maria Moon said, the artists were "delighted with filming."
“We are already in talks about new projects with the participation of world stars,” she said.
The release of the video is scheduled for autumn 2023.
“Kazakhstan has a special energy”
The film crew noted that despite the worldwide fame, the artists treated the process very responsibly, writes Tengrinews.
“Of course there was excitement. We thought that stars of this stature could be capricious with the crew and conditions. But our guesses turned out to be wrong: the Black Eyed Peas are a team consisting of very open people. While working with them, you feel like an equal, just like a professional,” Zenger emphasized.
Initially, they planned to shoot in Budapest (Hungary), but at the last moment, a partner company from Los Angeles decided to shoot the clip in Kazakhstan.
“Everyone was waiting for the project, tried to invest in it as much as possible, and, fortunately, everything went smoothly. I hope we left a good impression on the band and the management, which in the future can become a kind of bridge for new proposals,” Zenger commented on the collaboration.
The director noted that a table with national dishes was laid for the stars, which the whole group liked.
“They tried our treats, in particular baursaki, kurt and irimshik. I can say that they liked it. True, not everyone managed to taste beshbarmak, but only part of the team. But the group has already visited Kazakhstan before. I think then they managed to get acquainted with the dishes of our cuisine,” said Malik.
The film crew noted that the lead singer of Black Eyed Peas Taboo has exceptionally warm feelings for Kazakhstan. He talked about this during breaks on the set.

“Usually Taboo skips outings and events while on tour because it prefers not to waste energy. But Kazakhstan is an exception for him. Despite the fatigue from the flight and lack of sleep, the artist took the initiative and attended various events. According to Taboo, Kazakhstan has a special energy for him, and the group really likes our people,” the director shared.
Surprise for the stars

The folk-instrumental ensemble performed a popular track on dombra, kobyz and violin. All this took place in a yurt, which was visited by the musicians.

Judging by the reaction, the unique sound did not leave the artists indifferent.
The video hit the trends of social networks, and Kazakhstanis noted how beautiful this track sounds in the national style. While lead singer Will.i.am and rapper Apl.de.ap filmed the performance for their personal archive, Taboo diluted the atmosphere with an energetic dance.
