The owner of six clinics in New York, Alexander Burman, pleaded guilty to fraud with state insurance "Medicare" and "Medicaid". The total damage amounted to $16 million. This became known at the court hearing, which took place in the federal court of the Eastern District, reports nydailynews.com.

According to the prosecution, from 2008 to 2013, Burman’s clinic sent fictitious bills to both insurances or inflated the cost of services rendered.

Russian clients took tests and analyzes that were not actually required. Clinic staff paid a percentage to supposedly sick patients for such unnecessary procedures. The so-called "rollback".

Sentence 53-year-old Burman will be 15 July. The accused faces up to 30 years in prison. It is known that Buran has already agreed to return the stolen money. True, not the entire amount, but only $ 10 million
