Book your flight before September 24 with a departure before November 15 and receive a free flight certificate for your companion from January 6 to February 28, 2021.

Airline passenger traffic fell sharply in March after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health agencies announced quarantines in response to the novel coronavirus. Since then, the industry has struggled to convince passengers of flight safety.

Southwest's Companion Certificate is a coveted frequent flyer benefit that allows customers to bring one additional person with them for only the price of taxes ($5,60 each way) every time they fly. A prerequisite is to depart from the same airport. Earning an annual pass usually requires serious frequent flying: 125 Companion Pass qualifying points or 000 qualifying flights.

This limited offer invites travelers to try the pass, allowing them to take their guest with them for the first two months of 2021, including Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day, Presidents Day, and Valentine's Day.

So, if you booked, say, a flight to Maui in January with an accompanying travel card, your guest would only pay $ 5,60 in each direction.

To take advantage of the offer, you will need a Rapid Rewards account (register if you do not have one), and you still need to register with Southwest Airlines by Thursday 24 September.
