Ben Carson declined to enter new US government
Former US presidential candidate of the Republican Party and successful neurosurgeon Ben Carson declined the offer to join the government, which is now being formed by elected US President Donald Trump.
The reason for the refusal, he called the lack of experience in management, although this did not prevent him nominate for president during the last election campaign, reports LA Times.
“Dr. Carson believes that this (joining the government) is not the best way to be useful to the president-elect,” said Carson adviser Armstrong Williams.
He added that Carson never ruled a federal agency, so he feels that he doesn’t have enough experience for a government post.
“The last thing Dr. Carson would want to do is take office and thereby paralyze the effective work of the president’s team,” Williams concluded.
Carson was a member of the transfer team to presidential elect Donald Trump.
