White House demanded 'at any cost' to send American astronauts to the Moon by 2024
The administration of US President Donald Trump demanded that NASA organize the flight of American astronauts to the moon before 2024.
According to US Vice President Mike Pence, Trump instructed NASA Director Jim Bridenstine to complete this task “at any cost,” writes “Medusa".
“We must put the end above the means. We must consider every available option and platform to achieve our goals, including industry, government and the entire American space industry. Our administration is committed to this goal,” Pence said.

He added that NASA's previously stated goal of sending Americans to the Moon in 2028 "isn't good enough."
NASA head Jim Brydenstein in response to the words of Penny wrote tweeted: “Challenge accepted. Now let's get to work."

In total, the astronauts carried out 6 man landing on the moon, while the manned missions to the Earth satellite itself were more than ten, but not all of them suggested landing man on the surface of the planet.
12 astronauts can boast that they have left their marks on the surface of the moon:
- 21 July 1969 of the Year - Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, they spent an hour 21 minutes on the planet 36 (mission Apollo-11);
- 19 November 1969 of the year - Charles ("Pete") Conrad and Alan Bean, on the moon they stayed 31 hour and 31 minute (Apollo 12 mission);
- 5 February 1971 of the year - Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell spent on the Earth's satellite 33 hours and 14 minutes (Apollo-14 mission);
- 31 July 1971 of the Year - David Scott and James Irwin, they spent on the Moon 66 hours and 55 minutes (Apollo-15 mission);
- 21 April 1972 - John Young and Charles Duke spent an hour on the planet 71 an hour and 2 minutes (Apollo-16 mission);
- 11 December 1972 of the Year - Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt stayed on the Moon for 75 hours and 1 minutes (Apollo-17 mission).
In addition to the United States, Russia and China are showing interest in the moon.
