The White House published a transcript of Trump's first conversation with Zelensky: what the presidents talked about

On Friday, November 15, the White House published a transcript of the first conversation between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which took place in April, just a few days after the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine. Writes about it Axios.

According to the publication, this conversation is not at all like the second conversation of the heads of countries, which took place already in July, and because of which Trump is now threatened with impeachment.

The conversation was very brief and more like an exchange of formal courtesies.

Edition RBC published a translation of the transcript of the conversation into Russian, noting that the transcript itself is not an exact transcript of the conversation of the presidents and is recorded from memoirs of duty officers of the Operations Headquarters and the US National Security Council, who are entrusted with the responsibility of recording.

Trump: I would like to congratulate you on a job well done and fantastic choices.

Zelensky: Glad to hear that. Thank. Very nice of you, I appreciate that.

Trump: These were incredible choices.

Zelensky: Thanks again. As you can see, we did our best. And before us was your perfect example.

Trump: I think everything will be fine. I have many friends in Ukraine who know you and love you. I have many friends in Ukraine and, frankly, they expected your victory. I just wanted to congratulate you. I have no doubt that you will be a fantastic president.

Ukraine has always been represented with dignity. When you bring all matters back to normal, I will be happy to wait for you in the White House.
