Biden announces participation in the 2020 presidential race of the year: Trump immediately quipped

The former US Vice President and one of the leaders of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, for the first time officially confirmed his participation in the 2020 presidential election of the year, writes “Today".

“We are fighting for the soul of our people. If we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will fundamentally and permanently change the character of the people. I can't stand aside and watch what's happening. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States,” Biden said in a video message posted on his channel in YouTube.

He also added that the primaries in the Democratic Party, where two dozen people have already expressed their desire to fight for the most important post in the country, will be "unsightly".

“You have to deal with people who have really sick, crazy ideas. But if you manage to defeat them, see you at the “Start” mark,” Trump said.
