The administration of US President Joe Biden has completely stopped work on the construction of the Donald Trump wall. The costs of its construction were paid from the military budget. Writes about it DW.
“The Department of Defense continues to cancel all border construction projects paid for with funds originally intended for other military missions and functions, such as schools for military children, foreign military construction projects in partner countries, and National Guard and Reserve equipment,” said Pentagon spokesman Jamal Brown.
It is not yet clear whether work on the construction of the border wall, which is paid from other budgets, for example, funds from the US Department of Homeland Security, will also be suspended.

When Biden became president, he signed a decree according to which the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico stopped. With this document, he canceled the state of emergency in the region, which allowed the Trump administration to redirect money from the budgets of various departments to the construction of the wall.
The military funding that was used to build the wall will now be used for previously shelved military building projects. The Defense Department said it will review the list of deferred projects to determine which ones will receive priority. USA Today.

DHS said it will begin a backfill project in San Diego after improper soil and building materials compaction during the construction of the boundary wall caused erosion at a 14-mile stretch.
