In South Florida, a woman killed her daughter and two grandchildren before taking her own life, police said.
Law enforcement officials said Nilda Sheffield, 53, shot and killed Elizabeth Flores, 30, and Flores' children, Xavier Neff, XNUMX, and Sophia Chiddo, XNUMX.
Bodies found a family friend around noon on Saturday, said police lieutenant Brady Myers. A family friend notified the police about the incident, saying that he had not heard anything about the Sheffield since Friday.
Investigators have not yet revealed the motives of the obvious murder and suicide, reports WPTV-TV. Neighbors were shocked by the tragedy that happened in this family, which they considered quiet and secretive.
Family friends created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the funeral. Already, 109 people have donated over 4500 dollars.
