Avigdor Lieberman: UNESCO is an anti-Semitic organization

Avigdor Lieberman, the Minister of Defense, leader of the Our Home Israel party, sharply criticized the UNESCO resolution, according to which the Cave of the Forefathers (Mearat HaMhpell) and the historical part of Hebron were officially declared “part of the cultural heritage of the Palestinian people.”

“UNESCO is a politically biased organization that takes shameful anti-Semitic positions and regularly passes scandalous resolutions. Not a single resolution of this completely irrelevant organization will have any impact on the millennia-old historical right of the Jewish people to the Cave of the Forefathers and to their land. I hope that thanks to our friend and ally the United States, funding for this organization will be stopped. Among other things, this decision once again proves that the Palestinian Authority is not interested in achieving peace, but only inciting and denigrating Israel in the international arena,” said Avigdor Lieberman.
