American ghost airline to fly to Russia

American journalists managed to find out that there is an airline in the USA that has not made a single flight over the years of its existence. The airline called Baltia Air Lines, founded by an emigrant from Riga, promised to make direct flights from New York to St. Petersburg, writes Michigan radio.

Baltia Air Lines was founded in 1989, but has not taken a single passenger since. But in the park, the airline has a large airliner, Boeing 747, which is currently located at Willow Run, Michigan.

It is worth noting that the Boeing 747 aircraft was previously located in New York, at John F. Kennedy Airport. But because of the high cost of renting hangars, the company was forced to change registration to the aforementioned Willow Run airport, reports Plannet Today.

Baltia Air Lines was supposed to supply its aircraft on the route New York - St. Petersburg. But over time, the management was unable to obtain permission to fly between these cities. The reasons for the refusal of a license by US aviation authorities remain unknown.

Interestingly, the Baltia Air Lines website Specifiedthat the company is an operating carrier providing “a high level of service and quality of passenger, cargo and mail air transportation”. Just until the company is certified by the FAA.
