Budget airline IndiGo has introduced “quiet” zones on planes that will not allow passengers with small children. The goal is to provide comfort for those who do not want to endure crying or playful children next to them for the entire flight.

The step is quite controversial. Some customers believe that innovation will allow people traveling on business trips to spend more time working or just taking a nap. Others believe that such a policy is discriminatory.

Disputes on this topic flared up in social networks. Many have said that they are willing to pay extra for silence.

Others were disappointed and called the move "ridiculous" and discriminatory and believe that the next step would be "childless" flights.

Currently, carriers in the United States have not created so-called “quiet zones,” although several international airlines, including Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore's SCOOT Airlines, have used the practice for several years.

Richard Branson was once interested in creating a separate booth for children with nannies who could watch them. This idea was not implemented due to problems with the management of civil aviation, Branson said in an interview with Condé Nast Traveler in 2014.

And the company JetBlue in honor of the mother's day gave substantial discounts to passengers if children were crying on board.
