Apple introduced the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

After Apple CEO Tim Cook gave a speech about the enormous importance of education, saying that 114 US schools already support the Apple ConnectED program, the new iPhones were introduced by Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller, who noted "a new level of innovation and quality."

“The completely redesigned cameras allow you to capture incredible photos and video, day or night,” said Schiller. “The A10 Fusion processor is more powerful than any other smartphone, while giving iPhone longer battery life than ever before. And all-new stereo speakers sound twice as powerful. And all this is available on iPhone, which is protected from water and dust for the first time.”

Residents of the United States and more than 25 of other countries will be able to pre-order a new iPhone from Friday, September 9, and already on Friday, September 16, they will go on sale. Starting on Friday, 23 September, smartphones will be available in Russia (pre-order can be done from 16 September).

New cameras

The 12 megapixel camera in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with an optical image stabilization system, an enhanced aperture and an 6 element lens for shooting even brighter photos and videos. Extended color range allows you to capture bright colors in all details.

The iPhone 7 Plus has 2 cameras at once, along with a 12-megapixel wide-angle one, like in the iPhone 7, this is a camera with a telephoto lens. Together they provide XNUMXx optical zoom and XNUMXx digital zoom when shooting photos.

Later this year, both cameras in the iPhone 7 Plus will support the new depth of field effect when taking photos: sophisticated technology with a machine learning system will separate the background from the foreground. This will allow you to shoot gorgeous portraits that previously were available only to users of SLR cameras.

Longer and more efficient

The new A10 Fusion processor, specially created by Apple, ensures longer life without recharging than any other iPhone. It combines two high-powered cores that work almost twice as fast as the iPhone 6, and two high-performance cores that are able to consume less power in 5 times.

The processing speed of graphics has also increased: now it is almost three times higher than that of the iPhone 6. In this case, graphics processing consumes half the energy. This opens up new possibilities for gaming and professional applications.

Both new models support up to 25 LTE bands and provide industry-leading global roaming. And LTE Advanced technology allows you to transfer data at speeds up to 450 Mbps - in 3 times faster than on iPhone 6.

Wireless headphones

The new stereo speakers reproduce twice as powerful surround sound than on the iPhone 6s, with an extended dynamic range and a higher quality microphone.

The delivery of the new iPhone includes EarPods headphones with a Lightning connector, as well as an adapter for connecting headphones with the 3,5 mm connector, which allows you to use old headphones and accessories.

In addition, Apple's AirPods are wireless headphones that support Siri, a personal assistant accessible with a simple double-tap gesture. AirPods reportedly last longer on a single charge than any other headphones.

It should be added that AirPods headphones with a charging case are not included and will be sold separately.

New colors

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in silver, gold, rose gold, and two all-new shades of black—matte and a new glossy finish, Onyx Black. To create “black onyx,” a nine-fold anodizing and polishing process is used to achieve a uniform, glossy surface.

Fully updated case ensures the water resistance of the iPhone and protects it from spilled liquids, splashes and dust.

The new iPhone is equipped with a Retina HD display with a broader cinema-standard color palette and an improved color rendering system.

Operating system
