Apple confirmed the title of the most expensive brand
Rating most expensive brands in the world, compiled by the agency Interbrand, for the third year in a row Apple has led the company.
The agency estimated the value of the Apple brand at 170,3 billion dollars, which is 43 percent more than a year earlier. The second place was taken by the Google brand - 120,3 billion dollars (plus twelve percent).
Third place went to Coca-Cola, which was the undisputed leader of this rating to 2013 year. The brand of soft drinks is estimated at 78,42 billion dollars (minus four percent).
In addition to Coca-Cola, only three companies that are not related to the Internet and IT-technologies are in the top ten most expensive brands in the world. It is Toyota auto concern (sixth place, 49 brand worth billions of dollars), General Electric company (eighth, 42,2 billion dollars) and McDonald's fast food chain (ninth place, 39,8 billion dollars).
Interbrand Agency estimates the value of brands according to their own methods. Only those brand owners who disclose their financial indicators and are public companies are included in the rating.
In addition, brand companies must meet a number of conditions. So, to get into the rating of the most expensive brands, the company that owns the trademark must conduct business on at least three continents and receive at least one third of the revenue outside the country in which it is registered. Because of these conditions, companies from Russia have never been in the rating of the most expensive brands in the world.
