Apple mistakenly sent the customer 60 iPhone 15 Pro Max with a capacity of 1 TB worth $96 thousand, although he initially ordered only four smartphones, reports PhoneArena.

Well, an interesting story posted on X by follower @appltrack shows that those in charge of fulfilling orders at Apple don't always get it right. And when they make a mistake, it's not just a minor oversight.

TikTok follower @legends_gio ordered four iPhone 15 Pro Max models: one with 1TB of storage for himself and three with 256GB of storage for his team at work. He ended up getting his phone shipped, but instead of the three others he ordered, he received three boxes with 60 iPhone 15 Pro Max inside. And all 60 phones shipped by Apple had 1TB capacity.

Each of the 60 randomly sent phones costs $1599, which means the value of the package was close to $96! His actual order cost just under $000. If you're asking yourself why nothing like this ever happens to you, there's probably no real benefit to getting 3600 times the number of iPhones you ordered.

Since the phones were received in error and were not paid for, Apple will definitely ask for their return. And if @legends_gio doesn’t want to give them back, then Apple can always block the phones. This would certainly thwart plans to sell them on eBay.

How could this happen? The $96 order for 000 60TB iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely have to go through several checks before it can be shipped. If @legends_gio returns the 1 iPhones he didn't order, Apple should reward him somehow. After all, he wasn't the one who screwed up here.
