Americans fly to Belarus to treat teeth

Medicine in Belarus is so cheap compared to Western countries that foreigners come here to treat their teeth! An unusual story was told by a native of Minsk Svetlana, who lives in the USA. Her friend, also a former Minsk dweller who settled in Boston, had a toothache. As a result, the flight to Minsk and the treatment of a tooth here were cheaper for the guy than the same service in America.

— The guy has developed a flux. He went to see a doctor through his work insurance, but they refused to treat him. He developed a fever, couldn’t go to work and lost a lot of his earnings; they also added a fine. Then I found another doctor - he said that he could be deprived of his license if he took it,” says the Minsk resident.

At this point, the guy could not stand it and called his mother in Belarus. She agreed with the doctor. The American flew to Minsk, the tooth was cured and preserved. Already on Monday the guy was at work.

“It turned out cheaper in terms of money than if he had been treated according to the price lists that he was later offered in America,” states the interlocutor.
