Americans were suspended from work in Russia after mentioning his name in the Kiselev program

American Kendrick White, mentioned in a report by the Rossiya-1 TV channel about alleged US interference in Russian affairs, was removed from the post of vice-rector for innovation at Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky (NNSU), according to the university website.

Associate Professor Kendrick White was suspended from his duties as vice-rector of UNN by order of the rector of June 26. Now the issues of innovation will be supervised by the Vice-Rector for Research.

This decision was made “in connection with the restructuring of the innovation management system of UNN, associated with the need to strengthen its scientific component,” the university explains.

White himself said that he was on vacation in Florida and was not ready to comment on the situation because he did not have complete information. As bloggers noted earlier, the mention of White disappeared from the “Rectorate” section, however previous version pages and biography White's cached by Google.

In a report shown in the Vesti Nedeli program with Dmitry Kiselev on June 28, correspondent Olga Skobeeva asks the question “how did it happen that this post of vice-rector of a state university was taken by a US citizen, an entrepreneur from Washington.”

As stated on the website of the university, White worked on the development of the Technology Commercialization Center. Project teams from UNN travel to the University of Maryland twice a year, where they meet with potential investors.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed concern by the activities of foreign foundations, which, in his opinion, “take applicants straight from school, put them on grants and take them away.”
