Los Angeles is a spoiled city, the public here is picky and does not accept everyone: there is too much competition. The Russian-speaking audience is no exception, and concert organizers know that only top-notch performers should be brought to Los Angeles. Those whom they know, remember, and most importantly, love. The concert of Valery Meladze is an event with which neither the organizers nor the audience made a mistake.

The hall was filled with public of different ages with children, with friends, with parents, with loved ones. The ladies prepared in advance: bright dresses, elegant bouquets of flowers to their favorite artist, waiting for a holiday.

From the first chords of the song “C'est la vie,” the audience and the artist became one, and the energy of magic flowed into the hall. That evening Valery Meladze tried on the role of a magician who granted wishes - and it turned out, practically, to be a “concert on request”. He asked: “Well, what other wishes do you have?” Someone asked to sing “Heaven”, someone again “Beautiful”, someone voted for “Actress”. And Valery sometimes deviated from the program and followed the lead of the audience - and, probably, of his heart.

The interaction with the audience brought everyone present so close that it seemed that after the concert we would all certainly gather together at the big table and continue telling stories and singing our favorite hits. And when one spectator gave Valery a bottle of alcohol along with a bouquet, he even joked: “How nice! There will be something to drink after the concert, otherwise here in Los Angeles all the places close so early.”

Favorite hits sang throughout the audience. Valery repeatedly turned the microphone to the audience, and the chorus picked up: "... beautifully you entered my sinful life ...", "... heaven, my promised ...", "... gypsy seraaa ...".

The light was set to the beat of the music, beautiful and passionate videos of Meladze were shown on the huge screen, and on stage, as always, in an elegant suit and with permanent musicians, the artist of the first magnitude gave his best. He did not forget to introduce and specially acknowledge each member of his team, with whom, according to him, he is one. It’s true: everyone moves synchronously, picks up each other’s improvisations, admires each other’s talent, and the viewer feels it. On the current tour, the line-up was supplemented by string instruments.

Of course, special words and video footage were dedicated to “the best brother, with whom I was very lucky” - Konstantin Meladze, to whose music and poetry almost all the songs performed were created. Valery remembered how they started their activities and noted with irony that “sometimes C students also make good people,” but for the children in the audience he noted that studying well is very important.

Valery answered questions from the audience, commenting with irony on some exclamations like: “your brother is from Kyiv, he’s cool!” (both brothers were born and raised in Batumi), took photographs without fail with girls, with children, shook hands, hugged, smiled into the frame, listened to personal confessions “in the ear,” accepted flowers and gifts. One little girl came on stage so that her mother could photograph her with Valery, and hugged the artist so touchingly and for so long that the whole audience groaned with emotion. Valery did all this so organically, with such warmth, attention and gratitude that we can say that he is not a star of the first magnitude, he is a person who knows how to give warmth, give his talent, and therefore he will be accepted everywhere.

Spectators admit that they got great pleasure from the concert.

Anna Mar: “The concert, as usual, was great. Meladze, as usual, pleased the public in Los Angeles, and although the sound was better last time, everything else is just super. He performed all his famous hits and new compositions, we are always ready to come to his concert. Unfortunately, he comes every four years to our city, I would like to see him more often. We wish him success in his work, please beautiful women with beautiful songs. ”

Narina Mkrtchyan: “It is impossible to convey in words what we felt today. This is complete bliss. How can you even talk about Meladze? He is a star of the first magnitude, he has a temperament, he has a unique voice, a unique talent, he has a spiritual depth that just like a stream flows like a waterfall into the soul and cleanses everything. I've been to all of his concerts in Los Angeles, but this concert was unique in its energy, which we felt the first minute when he came on stage; energy flowed from him, and everyone seemed to follow him. It was his best concert in Los Angeles."

Alexander Durmashkin: “The concert was amazing. Valery is unique, you will never confuse him with anyone, this is not the music of “three stomps, two slams.” He doesn't use soundtracks, he has deep respect for the viewer. The evening was a success, everything was great. He was always well received, but today there were more people, there was a full house, not a single empty seat - this created a certain energy, this is recharge for both the performer and the audience.”
