After an unsuccessful jump into the pool, the student's life completely changed, he was even going to drop out of school.
In 2015, a college student in South Florida Aldo Amenta suffered a severe spinal injury when he plunged into the pool. He was paralyzed and he could only move in a wheelchair. According to Amenta, his life has completely changed: he was even going to drop out of school, and his family had a choice to pay for treatment or education. But thanks to a grant from Florida International University, Amenta was able to concentrate on his studies.
In December 2018, Aldu Amenta received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. By the end of his studies, his leg mobility was partially restored. December 9 college graduated - and Ament in the exoskeleton was able to independently go on stage to get a diploma. He only needed help once when he got up from the wheelchair. At the ceremony, he was greeted with applause.

“It doesn't matter how difficult it gets. Maybe you feel that you cannot do something, but you will find people willing to help you <...> This gave me the strength to keep moving forward and maintain a positive attitude, "said the alumnus, speaking at the ceremony.
In the future, Aldu Amenta is going to get a master's degree. He said he would seek the fulfillment of his dream to stand up.
