The American woman survived the accident, wandering through the forest for two days and eating rainwater
23-year-old Victoria Hudson, a college student from Mississippi, recovers after she crashed her SUV and spent more than two days in the woods, having no idea where she was or where she was going.
As the New York Post, a young woman drank from a stream and slept in forest stands arranged for deer hunters. After a massive search, rescuers discovered her on Saturday, dehydrated and disoriented. Victoria was taken to Northern Mississippi Medical Center at West Point.
Hudson is studying for a specialist in forensic science at the University of Mississippi. On Thursday morning, she traveled by car in the direction of her mother’s home in Clay County. Victoria's mother, Glenda Hudson, said that the girl had lost her ability to navigate because of the heavy rain that caused her to roll in the wrong place and enter the ditch with water.
The student called 911 and stayed on the line with the deputy sheriff until her phone was completely dead. Now nothing threatens her health.
