American woman was saved from hostages thanks to pizza

A Florida woman saved herself and her children by ordering pizza with a special request. Cheryl Treadway and her three children were held hostage by her boyfriend, who threatened her with a knife. The woman persuaded him to give her his phone number to order pepperoni pizza online from Pizza Hut.

“In the comments section, there was a message asking for help and calling 911 because they were being held hostage,” the police lieutenant said.

Cheryl was a frequent customer of Pizza Hut. When the staff heard her message, they immediately raised the alarm and called the police.

“I've never seen anything like this. I've been working here for 28 years and this has never happened before," said Candy Hamilton, Pizza Hut manager.

When the police arrived at the address, they were met by a woman with a child in her arms. Her two children were held hostage by her boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson. After taking the woman to a safe place, the police began negotiations with Nickerson. After 20 minutes, he peacefully gave up. The children left the house safe and sound.

The detention report states that Nickerson armed himself with a large knife and forbade the girl to leave the house. He accompanied Cheryl to school to pick up the children. When they returned home, he allowed her to order pizza through the Pizza Hut app.

Nickerson was charged with assault with a gun, imprisonment and obstruction of justice.
