American promises $ 20000 for a tour of the scariest home in the US: so far no one has gone through

"You really don't want to do this": that's what people say as they leave a tour of the scariest haunted house in all of America, McKamey Manor. Below is a description and video not for the faint of heart!

Russ McKamey owns and operates the worst haunted house in America - you can't go into it until you watch a two-hour video, sign 40-page rules, come up with a safe word, pass a physical test and bring a doctor's note, writes WGNTV.

Featured in Netflix's “Ghosts: The Art of Scaring” and in the episode “The Dark Tourist,” McKeimie Manor is a place for adventure lovers. The Horror House is located in Summertown, Tennessee. This house is so extremely intimidating that no one has yet been able to successfully complete their experience.

You really don't want to do this

If you want to take a tour of the estate it will cost a bag of dog food - Russ has 5 dogs. But if you successfully complete the tour, Russ promises to give you $20. So why not do it?

It's not as simple as buying a feed package. The estate website lists seven conditions that must be met before the start of the tour:

• be 21 years or older (or 18-20 with parental approval);
• take the Sports Physical test and bring a doctor’s certificate that you are physically and mentally healthy;
• take a special check at McKamie Manor;
• call via Facebook, Facetime or by phone;
• bring evidence of health insurance;
• Sign detailed 40 page conditions and disclaimers
• take a portable drug test on the day of the tour.

There is also a two-hour movie that Russ requires you to watch before visiting the estate. The video “And After There Was Nobody” is a compilation with all the participants who tried to go on a tour to McKamey from July 2017 to August 2019.

The video basically consists of editing recordings with people coming out at some point in the tour and saying the necessary phrase: “You really don't want to do this.”

Russ has a list of warnings and rules that you must follow:

Intense sound, lighting, extremely low visibility, strobe and fog effects, humidity, physically challenging conditions, close contact with creatures (you may be touched), very real and graphic horror scenes.

Rules:

Do not smoke, drink, eat, run inside, and do not touch props and / or actors. McCaimy Manor reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone for any reason. The guest voluntarily assumes all risks / dangers associated with participation in this event.

The tour organizer, Russ, is not the same person you will meet outside the estate. He says he has never been drunk in his life, smoked cigarettes or marijuana, used illegal substances, or even drank coffee.

“I'm a very straight-laced conservative guy, but here I am running this crazy haunted house that people think is a torture factory, a fetish factory. None of that is true, but people believe it's based on films I've made,” Russ says.

Russ takes every tour on his camcorder and publishes it on Youtube.

He says he does not swear and forbids obscene language during haunted tours. If you do not hold back (and many do), he will deduct the money from your potential prize in 20 000 dollars.

“I’ve already invested over a million dollars into this,” Russ says. “And I, of course, don’t take money for it.” A bag of dog food is the starting price. I'm not a very good businessman."

Russ is good at what he does: he made people sue him for what, in their opinion, happened during the show, but in fact this did not happen. He does not record everything on video, not for the sake of entertainment, but also in order to protect himself in court.

"You'd be surprised how many people have said over the years that something happened to them internally," he said. “And I need to go back and show whoever needs to see it the raw and unedited footage.

How is Russ so good at the pretend game? He says hypnosis is a great tool.

“When I use hypnosis, I can put you in a kiddie pool with a couple of inches of water and tell you there's a great white shark in there, and you'll think there's a shark in there,” he said. “When you have that kind of power over people and they do and see what you want them to see, then they can walk away thinking it really happened.” They'll go to the authorities, and I'll have to show the footage and say, "It wasn't like that at all." It has saved me a thousand times."

Over the years, Russ has been able to harness the fears of everyone who went through the estate. He says that he works on every show based on each individual's fear, so this will never be the same performance.

Russ says a common fear people share with each other is water.
