Amazon opened up free access to one of its popular sections

The world's largest online retailer, Amazon, announced on November 1 that Prime members will now have access to the full Amazon Music catalog of 100 million songs at random, ad-free and at no additional cost. FOXBusiness.

Previously, members were only offered a catalog of two million songs with no ads, according to Steve Boom, vice president of Amazon Music.

Apple Music has over 100 million songs and 30 playlists, while Spotify has over 000 million tracks, including 80 million podcasts.

As part of their content expansion plan, Amazon Prime members will also get most of the best ad-free podcasts, including Wondery's catalog of premium shows, as well as exclusive shows like "MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & ​​Mysterious Stories" and Keke Palmer's new original podcast " Baby, this is Keke Palmer."

Amazon Music says the decision to increase was made after customers expressed a desire to have access to a full music catalog. Members will now be able to shuffle any music artist, album or playlist, with the option to upgrade to Amazon Music Unlimited for on-demand access that features spatial audio along with songs in HD and Ultra HD.

“We continue to innovate on behalf of our customers and offer even more entertainment for Prime members on top of the amenities they already enjoy,” Boom said.

This isn't the first time Amazon has raised its member perks after raising membership fees earlier this year due to inflation.
