Actor Kevin Spacey was rushed to hospital in Uzbekistan: he is suspected of having a heart attack

American actor Kevin Spacey was taken to hospital on October 2 after his left hand went numb during the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival in Uzbekistan, reports New York Post.

The 64-year-old two-time Oscar winner underwent an MRI scan.

The "House of Cards" star was at the Afrasiab Museum, located at the Afrasiab Historic Site, one of the largest archaeological sites in the world, when he felt "his whole left arm go numb for about eight seconds."

Then the actor was urgently taken to the Innova diagnostic clinic, where he was examined by doctors and given an MRI.

Despite fears that he might have had a heart attack, doctors declared Spacey healthy.

"Mr. Spacey was taken to a medical center due to health problems," a source close to the actor said. “The doctors and staff treated him professionally and it turned out that he had no heart problems.”

That evening, Spacey returned to the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival in Uzbekistan and was in good spirits. Addressing the audience about the terrible incident, the star said that his health was “normal.”

“It made me think about how fragile life is,” he said. - For all of us".

Spacey, who most recently appeared in the micro-budget film Control, directed by Gene Fallais, gave the final speech at the festival's closing ceremony.

“I experienced something unexpected here today,” he said. “I was looking at these unusual frescoes on the walls and suddenly I felt my entire left arm go numb for about eight seconds. I didn’t think anything of it, but I immediately told the people I was with about it, and we immediately went to the medical center.”

“I spent the whole day there, taking various tests. The staff took good care of me and even performed an MRI. “Everything turned out to be completely fine and I’m grateful it’s not something more serious,” he said.

Spacey's friend, writer Geoffrey Mark, says the celebrity is hoping to return to Hollywood, despite reports he is still not welcomed by the industry.
