From December 2015 to June 2016, Telizhenko held the position of third secretary in the political department of the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington. During this time, he said, he witnessed how Ukrainian officials openly supported Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

His accusations, first voiced by Politico, are based on two facts. First, according to him, the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, Valeriy Chaly, instructed the embassy staff not to participate in Trump’s presidential campaign, because “Hillary had to win.”

The second was that the Ukrainian American, who worked as a contractor for the DNC, coordinated his activities with the Ukrainian Embassy to find compromising materials on Trump and Manafort.

Telizhenko accused former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko of being directly involved in efforts to undermine Trump's candidacy and said the "black books" were the internal accounting of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych's political party, which claimed Manafort received $12,7 million from the party. dollars, was a fake.

Embassy staff, a former DNC contractor and former members of the Poroshenko administration strongly rejected the accusations of Telizhenko.
