Divorce lawyer warns women about professions not to marry

A divorce lawyer with the TikTok username @Jettiegirl28 shared the top five male jobs that a woman should avoid. The data is based on more than a decade of experience in the business with the most complex divorce cases. Insider.

“Over the course of my career, I have watched some of my most difficult cases, and, amazingly, many of them involved men in these five professions,” said the lawyer, who identified herself as K.K.

In no particular order, she says the top five worst jobs to get married are firefighters, police officers, military, surgeons, and pilots.

In her video, she adds the disclaimer that there are exceptions and not all men in these professions make the list. But in general, she noticed that men in these professions tend to be more "narcissistic" and "controlling."

“They tend to have a much harder time dealing with divorce. They have a kind of boiling point - "how dare you challenge me" - this approach to litigation, "she continued.

“If you look at these professions, what do they have in common? They are gods in their profession, right?,” she said.

“If you are a policeman, you carry a weapon. You have power. If you are a surgeon, you walk around the hospital - everyone looks up to you, everyone treats you with respect. And then you come home, and suddenly someone asks you to take out the trash. I think it's a tough transition," she said.

Meanwhile, pilots, including those who work in the military, bear greater responsibility as they "control the lives of 150 to 200 people at a time," she said. “And they tend to be very narcissistic and very controlling.”

TikTok KK has over 1,5 million views and 12 comments, and many agree with her assessment.

“Divorced surgeon and I can confirm that this is true,” wrote another commenter, who racked up nearly 2000 likes.

Users suggested additional professions they would like to add to the list, including pastors, athletes, and investment bankers.

KK also created TikTok, in which she featured the No. 1 type of woman who struggles with divorce: stay-at-home mothers.

“When you divorce a housewife, they are paralyzed with fear, and rightly so, because their whole life is about to change,” she said. She went on to say that housewives face great financial insecurity and may fear returning to work after a long absence.
