In California, a homeless man stabbed a father and daughter in a store parking lot: they did not know him and did not talk to him before the attack

Police say a California man and his 22-year-old daughter were stabbed to death by a homeless man while they were fixing their car outside a Kohl's store. New York Post.

Ken Evans, 54, and Mckenna Evans were spending time together around noon on October 27, fiddling with their sedan in Palmdale, north of Los Angeles, when a homeless man attacked them for no apparent reason.

Ken was rushed to the hospital, where he died, and his daughter died at the scene.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies have arrested a suspect who they say may be the culprit.

Elizabeth Evans, wife and mother of the victims, mourns the shocking loss.

“She wasn’t just my daughter, she was my best friend,” the mom said Oct. 29 about McKenna. “She was just full of joy, and she cared about both people and animals.” She was absolute light. Everyone around became her best friends.”

Elizabeth said her husband was a "loving father" who "loved spending as much time as possible with his daughter".

Jesse Mercado, McKenna's boyfriend, said he ran to the scene after the shocking crime.

“I wanted to hug her again. It was hard to realize that the person who changed my life so dramatically - in just one day, was taken away, ”he said.

He described McKenna as kind, caring and ambitious. “I first met her at work,” Jesse said. “The moment she introduced herself, I fell in love with her.”

They met at an ice cream shop where they both worked and had been together since February.

McKenna, who was waiting for her beauty exam, preferred vegan products that were not tested on animals, her mom said, "because she paid attention to kindness and comfort."

Elizabeth said her husband was planning to move to Missouri and was trying to spend more time with their youngest child before leaving.

“That was Ken — a man always ready to take risks, always enterprising,” she said.

According to her, she met her husband in Kansas before returning to her native California, where Ken worked in construction and real estate. GoFundMe for the Family has raised over $15 out of a $000 target.
