26-year-old Heather Friesen slipped and fell from a Hawaiian waterfall from more than 50 feet (15,2 m). Writes about this ABC News.

Friesen plunged into the water and struggled to emerge for almost 20 seconds.

“I couldn’t breathe, I knew something was wrong,” she said. “I tasted blood in my mouth.”

“I remember my vision was getting a little blurry, but I just kept telling myself that I should try to take a deep breath,” she said. “Two travelers appeared out of nowhere.”

Thanks to the tourists, one of whom knew a member of the air evacuation crew and told them the exact location of Friesen. The girl was rescued, provided first aid directly on the spot and taken to the hospital.

Friesen had a lung collapse after a fall, broke 10 ribs and scapula.

“Time slows down when you fall,” Friesen said.

The girl also said that when she fell, she knew that she would not die, and was more worried about her friends and family.
