Four women accuse Joe Biden of harassment
In the past few days, four American women have accused former Vice President and US presidential candidate Joe Biden of “indecent touching.” Biden is considered by many to be Trump's main rival in the 2020 election - and the current president could not resist commenting on the scandalous accusations of his political rival.
It all started at the end of March - then Lucy Florence, who ran for lieutenant governor of Nevada in 2014, spoke about Biden’s “humiliating” actions. She said that during a rally to support her candidacy, Biden, then 72, came up behind her, put his hands on the woman's shoulders and kissed the back of her head, she writes. USA Today. Florence describes his feelings as embarrassment and shock.
1 April Biden was accused by former Assistant Assistant Jim Heimes Amy Lappos from Connecticut. She said that during a fundraising event in Greenwich in 2009, Biden put his hand on her neck and rubbed her nose. The woman decided that he was going to kiss her on the lips. She noted that she did not find sexual subtext in his act, but considers Biden’s actions a manifestation of disrespect.
On April 2, new accusations emerged from two more women. The Times published statements from Caitlin Caruso and D.J. Hill. Caruso said she was 19 when Biden put his hand on her thigh and hugged her after giving a speech about her personal experience of sexual assault, so the experience was especially painful. Writer DJ Hill said that in 2012, at a fundraiser in Minneapolis, Biden put his hand on her back and began to move his palm lower. Hill, 59, said she was “very uncomfortable” but was helped out by her husband, who turned it into a joke and put his hand on Biden’s shoulder.
After the first two statements, Biden denied any incidents of indecent behavior.
“Throughout my many years of campaigning and public life, I have shared countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of love, support and comfort,” he said March 31. “And not once—never—did I think that I acted inappropriately.” If I am suspected of this, I will listen with respect. But that was never my intention."
The following comments were commented by the politician in a video message in his Twitter account, promising to be more attentive to respecting personal space in the future, writes New Time.
“Social norms are changing. I understand that, and I heard what these women are saying,” Biden said.
According to him, he will be “more attentive to respecting personal space in the future”

US President Donald Trump also responded to the accusations against Biden.
Speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner on April 2, Trump suggested that Joe Biden would not pose a threat in the 2020 presidential race thanks to "socialists" working to destroy him.
“He seems to be very well taken care of by the socialists. They got to him,” Trump said. “I was going to call him, I don’t know him very well, and I was going to say, ‘Welcome to the world, Joe. Are you having a good time, Joe? Are you having a good time?
Trump mentioned the former vice president, discussing the topic of re-election and asking the audience that which of the two slogans to choose for your election campaign. Later, Trump brought up Biden again, talking about the general who told the president that ISIS could be defeated within a week. “Kiss me,” Trump, by his own admission, responded to the general.
“I felt like Joe Biden,” the president continued.
Previously, more than a dozen women accused trump of sexual harassment and misconduct that occurred over many years. Eight women accused him of forcibly kissing him. Trump denied the accusations. The "Access Hollywood" tape, which aired during the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, recorded Donald Trump making lewd comments about what places should women have. Later, as president, Trump said it was “locker room jokes.”
Harassment allegations are not Biden's only problem. Recently, The Hill published incriminating evidence on the former Vice President of the United States, which describes how Joe Biden blackmailed Ukraine with a million dollars - and this case was connected with his son Hunter.
