In Missouri, a 8-year-old boy sells lemonade to raise money for police
8-year-old Bracken Simmons from Blue Springs, Missouri, decided to sell lemonade in order to raise money for the local police department, writes Fox News.
“I want to do something good for the Blue Springs Police Department because they help people when they have serious problems. I'm just trying to figure out how much I can make. I want more than 12 dollars, much more,” the boy said.
He said that he does not have the price of lemonade, so that passersby can pay as much as they see fit.
Officer Jacob Jacobsen said that the Brecken initiative would show the community that residents can work together to make a positive impact on life and the situation in the city.
“I think this is a great way to show other kids that they can make a difference with goodwill,” she said.
