In Texas, a child died in a tumble dryer trying to save kittens
East Texas police are investigating the death of an 10-year-old girl who apparently was hit by an electric shock when she tried to get the kittens out of the dryer, writes KXVV.
KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana, reports that the parents of Greenlee Marie said that she was trying to save pets on Saturday in a family house in New Boston, Texas.
“She loved her pets and she would do anything for them,” Shelby Roos said of her daughter.
Presumably, the kittens fell inside the dryer, and the schoolgirl tried to pull them out.
The police chief in Boston, Harry McCrari, said that "it is too early to lay blame and responsibility on someone until the investigation is over." The police are trying to figure out what happened and why at that moment the girl was alone at home. The body of the girl was sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
New Boston is located approximately 20 miles from the border with Arkansas and approximately 150 miles northeast of Dallas.
